All steps of the sterilization process must be controlled. Tracing; It is made using physical, chemical and biological methods. Chemical and biological indicators are generally used in the control of sterilization.
Chemical Indicators
Chemical indicators indicate the specific sterilization conditions to which the package is exposed where it is placed.
Biological Indicators
Biological indicators; indicates whether the sterilization process is sufficient to achieve biological death. Bacterial spores, known to be the most resistant to sterilization, are used among biological indicators. Biological indicators are obtained by drying standard bacterial spores suspended in water or culture medium in plastic, paper, aluminum carriers and are used in monitoring sterilization.
