STERILISATION ROLL SEALING DEVICE 

 Sterilisation rolls/bags must be heat sealed in packaging machines with safe sealing feature. Bag closing temperature should be adjusted according to the recommendation of the company producing the packaging material. 

It is ideal for packaging machines to be able to write information such as packaging date, expiry date, etc. on the package to which it is applied. The organisation decides on the control tests and frequency of the packaging machines. It must be documented that the packaging machine has reached the desired temperature. It is also recommended to use the following tests:
✔ Control of the welding with the sealing device by means of a liquid (ink) test
Visual inspection
Aseptic opening test (peeling)  


Packaging machines should be calibrated annually, preventive maintenance should be scheduled at reasonable intervals recommended by the manufacturer and documented when performed.
